Favorite Quotes:

* Eddie: I can see Baker City from here.

* Kristen: I really want to see the hole the guys put in the mountain.

* Kristen: Are you really going to repel down there?
Patrick: Yeah.

* Patrick: Is that a voice?

* Patrick: Guys, there’s something in here with us.

* Eddie: I hate to say it but it sounds like people working.

Synopsis: The miners continue working the raise. They head back into to check out how the blast went, but instead the blast broke through the mountain. Dingus tells Jay to run back and get Eddie. He comes in and checks it. He sticks his head out of the hole and finds a tailing pile and a view of Baker City and the whole valley. That evening Stan and Kristen return from their trip. The whole team gathers around the camp fire. Stan and Kirsten tell them about Arizona. They guys tell them about everything that has happened while they were gone. When they discuss the hole in the back of the mine Patrick volunteers to repel down the mountainside for them. Patrick and Kirsten head into the mine to see what’s going on. Kirsten heads up the raise and starts getting spikes. They start an EVP session. The next morning everyone prepares for Patrick’s descent down the side of the mountain. He’s got camera’s mounted on him so that everyone can see what he sees. He begins to slowly go down. The video suddenly cuts out and communications are cutting out as well. Patrick gets to the bottom, his line goes slack and suddenly the video feed and audio feed are working again. Patrick finds another bulkhead. It also has a masonic symbol on it. The bulkhead looks like it’s been caved in behind it. As they leave the area with the bulkhead and the raise their tools start spiking again. They follow the tunnel and it ends in a cave in. Stan and Eddie think it’s a man-made cave in. Patrick thinks he hears a voice. Stan hears it too. Larry comes down and Stan and Eddie fill him in on what’s been happening. Patrick shows Kristen a lot of video that he shot. He reviews all the bulkheads they have found too. Kirsten sees movement on the video. It’s a shadow figure. They have an EVP of a foreign language. It’s sent off for translation. Stan sends Jay and Dingus to clear out that cave in. In the cook shack Patrick and Kirsten head over to talk with Stan about their new evidence. They show him the shadow figure. They try to impress upon Stan how dangerous reopening it could be, but Stan doesn’t want the guys to go home without a paycheck. They play the EVP for him too. The EVP translates to one word, “demon.” Patrick and Kristen request they use maximum safety procedures. Back at the cave in Jay gets tapped on the shoulder, but it wasn’t Dingus. Outside the mine, Patrick and Kirsten talk to Larry. They want to know if the portal had a bulkhead. Larry tells them a lot of wood and timber came out with water and shows them where it’s all at. They start searching it. Back at the cave in, Jay sees something and starts calling out, “hello?”

Favorite Quotes:

* Eddie: What the hell did we wander into?

* Eddie: If we’ve got airflow behind us there might be something back here.

* Mikey: My feet are stained just like Rudolph’s nose, red.

* Dingus: There’s just something wrong with snow in the summertime.

* Stan: I don’t feel too comfortable in here. Let’s back out to the main incline.

* Stan: That’s a good vein right there. Pretty vein.

* Kristen: Did I lose you to the gold Stan?
Stan: Yeah

* Kristen: Who’s making that noise?
Stan: We’re coming in. You want to talk to us?

* Stan: I gotta admit, it rattled me.
Kristen: Me too.

* Patrick: This whole mountain could be basically a battery for paranormal activity.

* Eddie: I don’t know if he thinks the mines alive or what? But we’re running out of time.

Synopsis: Eddie is excited about the bulkhead because every place they found a bulkhead they found gold last season. They hear a growl. Before they can investigate further they have to shore up the rise. In Arizona Stan and Kristen are still investigating the Octave. Kristen does an EMF sweep of the area around the mine. She gets spikes even though there is no electricity. She then meets with the operations manager. The activity he describes is very much like what they are experiencing at the Crescent. She learns of a cemetery. Back at the mine Eddie and Patrick lead the guys in investigating the new tunnel and bulkhead. Dingus knocks it out. Behind it they find another tunnel. Eddie deems the new tunnel safe enough to enter and they discover the tunnel only goes a few feet. Eddie finds some good veins. Greybeard takes some samples to test. Patrick finds some airflow. They plan to start working that vein. Back in Arizona Kristen heads to the Weaver Cemetery. It’s a sad place. Caskets buried close to the top and covered in rocks. Each marked with a white cross, but none bear any names. Her EMF meter goes off. She does an EVP session. She fixes a cross to find it knocked over again. Now she tries to find out where the story of the blue devil came from. Back at the mine Dingus gets revenge on the pranksters by messing with their boots. In Arizona, Stan and the Octave mine owner have a meeting. Some of the assays are quite good. Stan informs them that Kristen and Patrick are part of the team and he’s fine with it. Before he decides, Stan wants a full paranormal investigation. Kristen and Stan will do it together. They start with photos and EMF readings. She sees a mist on one photo and it’s not on the other of the same spot. As they go further in the mine, Kirsten feels something on her leg. Stan doesn’t want them to go farther in one section as the stalls are breaking. Even Stan is worried. At the mine, snow has come early. They are forced to pack up their belongings and try to get down the mountain so they aren’t trapped. Stan decides to back out of the tunnel they are in because the activity was making him nervous. They go to see the drawings that looked demonic. They find some good veins. Then as they approach the drawings they both hear a sound like a breath. As they approach the EMF readings continue to rise. Kristen takes photos of the drawings. They do an EVP session. It sounds like rocks are falling. Stan and Kristen saw something big move through a hole. Both are more than happy to leave the mine at this point. Back up in the snow, the crew tries to get back up to the mine. But trying to go up the hill isn’t working. They nearly slip off the side of the mountain. They finally manage to get back up to the mine. Patrick shares some evidence from his microphone recorded from the quartz. It sounds like a vibration. Patrick voices concerns. Eddie makes the executive decision, they are getting the gold and going home with money, not broke. They blast the vein to get at the gold. Once it clears they head in to bar down and assess.

* Kristen: What the hell is going on?

* Bucket: I don’t know if Eddie’s got something to prove but its Papa Smurf times two.

* Kristen: Honestly, my first impression of the Octave was that it looked like the opening to hell.

Synopsis: The mining season is now 2/3rds of the way done. They inspect the rise for stability. They send RIPA into the new space, but it malfunctions and Patrick loses control. RIPA is out of commission. So, the new drift is left as is for the time being. Greybeard and Jamol are working on an assay sample. Greybeard hears something and they promptly leave. Kirsten and Patrick analyze the data. Kristen notices something on the map. She notices a pattern. Kristen wants to investigate the whole town to test her theory, that the spirits are moving in straight lines. Greybeard determines there is gold. The investigators set up their gear in town. Jay’s son Ashton is going to help with the investigation. They start at the dredge with an EVP session. They get a spike at the dredge. Ashton calls and tells them there’s a figure above them. The two search but they cannot see the figure themselves. Ashton sends out a call for help. He is experiencing a lot of bangs. Around the fire, Jay tells the group about some of the stuff that happened in the raise. The miners think that it could have been wired wrong. Meanwhile, Ashton calls the two and tells them about some strange pixilation above the B & B. They go over to his station to see the footage. The end the investigation and the next morning begin going over all the footage. The glitch seems to go from the dredge to the mine. They check the mine footage and the glitch runs through all the mine cameras in order. The miners set up for the next day. They have a little too much fun with Dingus. Stan pays a visit to the investigators. He got a call from a mine owner in Arizona about a mine that has a lot of activity. Kirsten volunteers to go with him. The next day Eddie is in charge. Kirsten and Stan head to the Octave Mine. Stan is excited about this new mine because it can be worked all year around. They meet the owner, Adam. He tells them about the blue devil story. Getting into the mind is a bit treacherous. They get met by a Mojave rattlesnake. Stan is concerned about the condition of the mine. It requires a lot of rehab. Back at the Crescent work continues in the western tunnel and the low grade ore. The most recent blast does not go well. Mikey put too much powder and now it’s going to have be reinforced. In the Octave, they finally see gold. They hear a tapping sound as they are inspecting. Stan checks it out and finds nothing wrong. But Kristen thinks it sounds like the sounds at the Crescent. She is also getting a reading on the EMF. She takes photos. Everyone hears the sounds of rocks falling. They head towards the sounds to try and figure out what’s going on. At the end of the tunnel they find a cave in and some strange drawings on the wall. Kristen wants to do a more detailed investigation of the tunnel. Patrick meets with a geologist regarding the activity. He explains that if quartz is compressed in just the right way it will give off energy. It can also produce sound. The whole county is laced all through the area unground. Patrick meets with everyone and tells them about the town wide investigation. He shows them the video footage of the figure on top of the dredge. He then shows them the glitches. Eddie acknowledges the problems and then ushers everyone back to work. RIPA is finally repaired and they haul it up the raise into the tunnel. The video shows that the tunnel will require a lot of barring down. You can also see a quartz vein. As RIPA moves on the temperature keeps dropping. The video footage then shows a glitch. There is also an EMF spike. Patrick does a short EVP session. RIPA drives to the end of the tunnel and finds a bulkhead.

* Mikey: It’s time to miner up. Let’s do this. Come on.

* Jamol: I don’t mean to feel like a chicken but there’s something in that hole.

* Patrick: Is something playing with us out here?

The next day everyone is eating in the food shack. Due to the fire Stan is putting everyone back on the standard shift, no more split shifts. Dingus figures out a hydraulic leak started the fire. Kirsten and Patrick arrive back at the mine. They are shocked to find out about everything that happened in the short time they were gone. The guys get back to work but the jackleg stops working. It turns out the water tank has run dry. Patrick and Kirsten come up with a plan to try and figure out what’s going on. They’ve got a Tesla Coil. The plan is to put it in the mine where the guys have been working. It will produce 500,000 volts of electricity. The coil is set in place and powered up. While it’s up and running Kristen sees a shadow figure move through several cameras. They decide to investigate and immediately unplug the coil and then remove it. They start an investigation with an EVP session. Patrick hears a noise and they follow it to investigate it. There’s more noises. Kristen hears a growling sound. Jay tells them that was what he saw go by him in the past. Then they play an EVP of a growl. After the meeting the miners head back into the mine. Kristen continues researching the Chinese miners. She meets with John Young. He tells her that every mining ghost town will have a Chinese presence. He tells her a story about a group of ranchers who chased 18 Chinese miners because they believed they stole cattle. The miners sought refuge in a cabin and the ranchers burned them to death in it. He gives her directions to where it happened. Back at the mine the raising up continues successfully. She picks up Patrick and gear and they head out looking for the site where the miners were murdered. At the mine the dust has finally settled. There is a lot more muck than they were expecting. The explosion has revealed another drift. Jamol is sent up the ladder to investigate the hole. He hears sounds that no one else does, including a growl. Kristen and Patrick are still at the possible massacre site. They do an EVP session. Kristen thinks she might hear an animal. Kristen informs Patrick the temperature is rapidly dropping. Kirsten screams and tells Patrick that something touched her. The motion detector starts going off. Kristen gets touched again. They pack up and head back to the mine. A new RIPA is at the mine. It’s going to go up into the new space. Once RIPA is up in the new hole it takes off a life of its own.

They begin building a platform in the raise. Patrick and Kristen are in their shack going through all the evidence. One of the recordings is a train whistle but they don’t recall hearing a train. The pair goes to the train depot to check in on the train schedule. What they learn is that trains only run on the weekend and no trains were running when the whistle was recorded. The trains were used to move everything from lumber and ore to injured mine workers. The two decide to ride the train to the next stop and also to investigate the train. Night falls and their investigate begins of the trains and the yard. As Patrick uses the thermal cam on a train car he sees a heat signature move in it. Kristen yells out to get a response from any humans who might be there. They race over to the car to determine if it was a person or a ghost. Nothing is found on the train car. Kristen does an EVP session. They halt their investigation at the sound of the train whistle. They hop on the train for a ride back to Sumpter. The location has had paranormal activity for quite some time. They set up their equipment and get to work. Kristen and Patrick conduct an EVP session. Something clatters, and Kristen finds pool sticks on the ground. She asks “Have you ever heard of the Crescent Mine?” Suddenly, on Patrick’s thermal camera there is a heat signature that makes no sense. As he tries speaking to the woman who lost her husband, one of the motion detectors goes off. After that they conclude the investigation at the Saloon. The next day they start going over evidence from the train and saloon. Patrick shows Kristen something from the full spectrum camera that surprises her. In the mine the latest blast has released some valuable ore. The miners head to town to see their families and everyone meets. Kristen and Patrick first discuss the trespasser. Synopsis: Patrick and Kristen are still investigating at the Chinese Walls. As they conduct their EVP session they get activity. They conclude and head back to the mine. The next day Larry and Stan call a meeting about this trespasser. Larry has hired a security guard. The new vein they found they will be following using a technique called “raising up.” Instead of a horizontal shaft it’s vertical. Jamol and Jay hear something creepy and they exit. Kristen has done more research on the Geiser Grand and it may be haunted and connected to the mine. The two head back to the Geiser Grand and to try and investigate it. They get a tour from the current owner. In the cellar there are tunnels created for the Chinese to travel around. The Chinese miners were not allowed to walk the street. Kristen asks questions and they get an answer to one of them. In the area where card games were played Patrick lays out a deck of cards. They start hearing creaking again. They end their investigate and head back to camp. The next day the miners prepare to raise up. This is also the spot where they got EMF readings. The fuse is lit and the mine clears out. After the blast they begin mucking. For lunch Jamol has a Taco Tuesday. Kristen and Patrick start analyzing the evidence. The miners are pulling lots of gold rich ore out of the mine. At the end of the day they share evidence with the miners. Kristen tells them about the Chinese walls and shows some photos to them. They play an EVP for them. It’s Chinese for “Ya, ya, ya, I’m coming.” Kristen then tells them about how the Chinese were treated and massacred. The Geiser Grand is discussed next. Next they play the EVP regarding the Crescent Mine. “Did something bad happen there?” The response was, “Yes.” Then the EVP from the basement is played and you hear the glass falling or being throw. The Chinese cemetery is the next topic. The burn house by the mine suggests there is a cemetery near the mine. The next day the raise up continues. Duck and Greybeard confirm they are on a good vein. Everything comes to a halt when the security guard calls over the radio that he’s found the trespasser. Stan calls Cary, and the trespasser is headed towards camp. They don’t see anyone. When they check the grounds they don’t find a trespasser. That night Patrick and Kristen investigate the area that Cary thought the trespasser was in. They do an EVP session. Kristen gets a photo of something in the bushes.

They’re going to mine it. That night Patrick and Kristen head back to the Chinese walls. He is shocked. They begin an EVP session. When they start asking about the Crescent Mine they get some spikes. Then rocks start to fall. Patrick continues asking question and more rocks fall. They both climb a ridge and think they see something, but the camera just dies.

* Stan: When Patrick and Kristen came running out of the mine, that’s the first time we ever saw that.

* Eddie: They were scared. So, yeah, it did startle me.

* Patrick: My gut is telling me that we honestly experienced a tragic event I think.

* Jamol: Where did you learn that?
Greybeard: I’m old.

* Greybeard: That’s the right choice. If you feel like somethings wrong, get out, leave.

Synopsis: The miners attempts to circumvent the ballroom have been a challenge. We pick up where the last episode ended…the blast has not gone off. It’s 150 pounds of explosives. Eddie suggests that they use Patrick’s robot to check on the explosives that didn’t go off. Stan asks Patrick if they can send in RIPA. The robot can check the fuses and explosives but also monitor for any paranormal activity at the same time. They get to the fuse. As they examine the fuse they get a drop in temperature and an EMF spike. The explosives start going off. The whole crew goes in to check it out. RIPA, though, is not doing well. The blast worked, but they uncovered another cave in. The miners exit the cave so Kristen and Patrick can do an investigation. A rock falls and hits Patrick on the leg. Kristen does a baseline sweep and Patrick sets up a laser grid. Patrick decides to investigate exactly where Stan told him not to because it’s not safe. He then goes back to where it’s safe and does an EVP session. Both of them hear a knocking sound. The EVP session continues and another rock falls. A third and then fourth rock falls. The rock falling intensifies and they run for the exit. As they exit they are met by Stan and Eddie. Kristen, panting, tells them both it’s caving in. Stan and Eddie head in to check it out. They don’t find any evidence of a cave in and thoroughly check everything. Stan and Eddie bring them back to the ball room to show them it was ok. The next day the miners are back to work. Greybeard and Jamol are looking for another vein for the crew to mine. Duck is feeling uneasy and contemplates tramping again. Larry arrives to try and deal with the trespasser. Larry tells the two one camera is not working. They decide to go through all the images. At first all they get are photos of deer. The camera that Larry thought was broken, its card is actually full. They have found a mysterious anomaly. It moves so it’s not a dead pixel. The two go back to the camera and try and figure out what’s going on. The miners prepare to blast for more ore. Kristen and Patrick do an investigation of the camera at night. They find nothing wrong with the camera. She takes a few photos with her camera of the same view, but gets normal photos. Patrick hears footsteps, but sees nothing on thermal. Kristen gets some EMF spikes. Patrick follows a sound into the woods and sees some weird on the thermal. Kristen’s readings keep spiking as she gets closer to a clearing. Patrick discovers a strange rock formation. He notices the rock formation lines up with where the trail cam is located. She notices a design on one of the rocks. Photos are not coming out of the rock, so Patrick gets paper and charcoal and does a rubbing. He thinks they are Chinese symbols. Kristen and Patrick head back to camp where the miners are sitting around a fire. They join them and tell them about the symbols. Stan tells them about Chinese miners in the area and how poorly they were treated. The next morning Eddie and Jamol find their hoses damaged. Eddie goes straight to the cook shack to tell Stan and Larry what’s going on. Back in the mine Bucket and Mikey are working on the dogleg to get around the ballroom. Patrick sends the etching to an expert. He also includes the EVP they could not identify. Kristen heads to the historical museum to research the Chinese miners. Toni states there was 2 to 3 thousand but there is no record because they were not included on any census. They were segregated and only allowed to mine claims that others had already mined and deemed worthless. They would stack the stone and make what was referred to as Chinese walls. Toni tells her that there are some walls still around that she can see. Patrick and Kristen update the guys on the latest evidence. First up is RIPA, the fuse and explosions. The camera seems to have a glitch. They move on to the EVP with falling rocks. Next they discuss the trail cam and the white vertical line and the massive number of images. Kristen then talks about the rock formation. Patrick had the symbols translated, it means “house of cremation.” The EVP they could not translate earlier means, “I’m lost.” At that moment something slams into the cook shack and everyone goes running. They don’t find anything, so they begin searching for a trespasser. They don’t find a trespasser either.

Favorite Quotes:

* Jay: It doesn’t make any sense. I know I saw someone walk past me.

* Mikey: One minute I’m walking into my heading, the next my grandpa’s there.

* Kristen: Well if it wasn’t time loss what could it have been?

* Kristen: We had an idea that there was maybe a magnetic field in the mine, but it was strange to find it concentrated in one area.

* Kristen: What we call the ballroom we think was actually used as a ritual room for masons, which they called the chamber of reflections.

* Patrick: There is a lot of energy that we can’t explain right now. Whatever we left last year is still in there.

* Jamol: Every time we break through a room or into a new chamber, something weird seems to happen. Ghosts or no ghosts, we’re gonna get that gold.

* Stan: This is gonna break us through and we’re gonna get a lot of money.

Synopsis: Kristen and Patrick go back in the mine to take a look at what the full spectrum camera has revealed in ball room. The markings look like roman numbers VI (6). The next day the new hand has arrived. It’s Eddie’s son, Mikey. The miners get working. The majority work in the western tunnel and a smaller group head to the eastern tunnel to clear the ball room. Mikey and Bucket experience a drop in temperature and hear knocks. The shift ends and everyone is believed out of the mine. Jay is worried about Mikey being stuck in the mine still, but he has exited. Jay saw someone in there. So Stan sends a pair in to investigate. After they checked the mine, they found no one in it. Stan goes to Kristen and Patrick and asks them to check their video feed to see if they captured anything. A camera glitch is discovered. The glitch moves through all the cameras. At nightfall the duo head into the mine. They check all the cameras. While checking the cameras they get some activity. The two head to the end of the mine. They both see a light. It leads them to a dead end with no one there. Patrick gets readings towards the roof of the mine. An EVP session is conducted. All activity goes quiet. The next morning it’s back to mining. Larry drops in and decides to increase activity. He wants to take some of the cameras from the investigators. But Patrick suggests trail cams instead and Larry is fine with that. The two set up the cameras at strategic locations, they are motion activated. Then they head into town and do research at the library. Kristen finally finds something. It could have been a chamber of reflection for people who are in the process of becoming a Freemason. Back at the mine Jamol is cooking while everyone else discusses the ballroom. They finally approve of a meal he has cooked. Jay learns how to drive the new mucker. Greybeard does a field assay to check for gold. The farther back they go the lower the amount of gold. Patrick and Kristen head back to the mine and discuss possibilities. The work day is over and Bucket and Mikey have not brassed out. So Stan heads into the mine to find the guys. He tells them they’ve been back there for six hours and they don’t believe him. They lost six hours. They think it’s only been one hour, but Stan stays it’s been six. Mikey talks with Patrick and Kristen to discuss what happened. At the cook shack they guys want to know what happened. While the miners sleep Patrick and Kristen head into the mine to investigate where they lost time. They do a camera test to see if they get time loss while in the mine. Oxygen levels are fine. The K2 meter is spiking in one area. Patrick pulls out a compass and needle is moving. There has to be a magnetic field in the mine. Kristen states the magnetic field explains Mikey and Buckets time loss. Now they do an EVP session. Patrick does several sets of knocks. He hears an echo. Kristen points out they have been sloshing around all night and haven’t had a single echo. The next morning, they go over the evidence with the miners. They show them the camera glitches that occurred when Jay thought he saw a shadow. Kristen tells them about how she saw a light and they followed it to a dead end. Next up is the time loss in the ball room. The compass is brought up and the magnetic fields are also discussed. Next, the EVP session is discussed. They play Patrick’s three knocks which are followed by one single long knock. Last but not least they show them the full spectrum camera photographs. The research and Freemasons are also brought up. The miners head back to the ballroom and ready for a blast. Kristen expresses her concern. This blast contains double the normal amount of power. The blast does not take place when expected. Stan or Eddie will have to go in and check it.
