* Stan: When Patrick and Kristen came running out of the mine, that’s the first time we ever saw that.

* Eddie: They were scared. So, yeah, it did startle me.

Synopsis: The miners attempts to circumvent the ballroom have been a challenge. We pick up where the last episode ended…the blast has not gone off. It’s 150 pounds of explosives. Eddie suggests that they use Patrick’s robot to check on the explosives that didn’t go off. Stan asks Patrick if they can send in RIPA. The robot can check the fuses and explosives but also monitor for any paranormal activity at the same time. They get to the fuse. As they examine the fuse they get a drop in temperature and an EMF spike. The explosives start going off. The whole crew goes in to check it out. RIPA, though, is not doing well. The blast worked, but they uncovered another cave in. The miners exit the cave so Kristen and Patrick can do an investigation. A rock falls and hits Patrick on the leg. Kristen does a baseline sweep and Patrick sets up a laser grid. Patrick decides to investigate exactly where Stan told him not to because it’s not safe. He then goes back to where it’s safe and does an EVP session. Both of them hear a knocking sound. The EVP session continues and another rock falls. A third and then fourth rock falls. The rock falling intensifies and they run for the exit. As they exit they are met by Stan and Eddie. Kristen, panting, tells them both it’s caving in. Stan and Eddie head in to check it out. They don’t find any evidence of a cave in and thoroughly check everything. Stan and Eddie bring them back to the ball room to show them it was ok. The next day the miners are back to work. Greybeard and Jamol are looking for another vein for the crew to mine. Duck is feeling uneasy and contemplates tramping again. Larry arrives to try and deal with the trespasser. Larry tells the two one camera is not working. They decide to go through all the images. At first all they get are photos of deer. The camera that Larry thought was broken, its card is actually full. They have found a mysterious anomaly. It moves so it’s not a dead pixel. The two go back to the camera and try and figure out what’s going on. The miners prepare to blast for more ore. Kristen and Patrick do an investigation of the camera at night. They find nothing wrong with the camera. She takes a few photos with her camera of the same view, but gets normal photos. Patrick hears footsteps, but sees nothing on thermal. Kristen gets some EMF spikes. Patrick follows a sound into the woods and sees some weird on the thermal. Kristen’s readings keep spiking as she gets closer to a clearing. Patrick discovers a strange rock formation. He notices the rock formation lines up with where the trail cam is located. She notices a design on one of the rocks. Photos are not coming out of the rock, so Patrick gets paper and charcoal and does a rubbing. He thinks they are Chinese symbols. Kristen and Patrick head back to camp where the miners are sitting around a fire. They join them and tell them about the symbols. Stan tells them about Chinese miners in the area and how poorly they were treated. The next morning Eddie and Jamol find their hoses damaged. Eddie goes straight to the cook shack to tell Stan and Larry what’s going on. Back in the mine Bucket and Mikey are working on the dogleg to get around the ballroom. Patrick sends the etching to an expert. He also includes the EVP they could not identify. Kristen heads to the historical museum to research the Chinese miners. Toni states there was 2 to 3 thousand but there is no record because they were not included on any census. They were segregated and only allowed to mine claims that others had already mined and deemed worthless. They would stack the stone and make what was referred to as Chinese walls. Toni tells her that there are some walls still around that she can see. Patrick and Kristen update the guys on the latest evidence. First up is RIPA, the fuse and explosions. The camera seems to have a glitch. They move on to the EVP with falling rocks. Next they discuss the trail cam and the white vertical line and the massive number of images. Kristen then talks about the rock formation. Patrick had the symbols translated, it means “house of cremation.” The EVP they could not translate earlier means, “I’m lost.” At that moment something slams into the cook shack and everyone goes running. They don’t find anything, so they begin searching for a trespasser. They don’t find a trespasser either.
