Favorite Quotes:

+Blanche: God, I hate morning people.

+Sophia: Oh, sure. In that case I’ll get a boob job, too. I’m not going. People die there. They go in, they don’t come out.

+Sophia: You think I’m stupid? This scam has “Shady Pines” written all over it.

+Dorothy: Look, Ma, I love you, and I know what’s best for you. And besides, I don’t want to feel pangs of guilt for the next 20 years every time you say “Ow” just because I once asked you to move a sofa.

+Rose: People say I look like Wilma Flintstone. Not when she was on the air. More the way she looks today.

+Monk: Rose, I don’t quite know how to put this, but I’m your father.

+Dorothy: They’ve lost my mother!

+Dorothy: My mother is missing. I am scared to death and I’m trying to find a doctor. You’ll have to excuse me if I don’t have the rolling gait of a nymphomaniac.

+Monk: I know it’s a little late for me to start acting like a father, but do you think you two could stop hitting my little girl with a newspaper?
Both: We’ll try.

+Rose: Oh, what a day this has been. I found my father. You found your mother. Blanche: And I found you can’t give a sponge bath without the patient’s consent.

He chose God. Sophia still hasn’t been found. She’s still in the elevator. Some doctors come in and they don’t really seem to care either. Roses’ father wakes up again. She has one question she wants an answer to. She asks him, “You said you chose God. How could you do that when it meant giving up your own child?” He tells her that he didn’t know Ingrid was pregnant. He didn’t find out until years later when she was already with the Lindstorms and he did not want to interfere. She thanks him and then tells him all about herself and her kids. He is shocked to learn he’s also a grandfather. Dorothy and Blanche come to the room and introductions all around. Dorothy decides to check the morgue. She and Blanche get on the elevator. They don’t check the elevator and miss Sophia. She hears them talk and then speaks up. Dorothy is thrilled and relieved. Everyone is on th elevator and happy that everything is worked out. Sophia confesses she did not get the hernia from moving the sofa, but from her and her friends putting someone’s VW Bug on their lawn.
