Synopsis:

The episode opens with Dorothy and her mother, Sophia, arguing. Dorothy is feeling worried about Sophia because she doesn’t have friends to spend time with anymore. Sophia is feeling lonely and bored. Dorothy tries to get Sophia to go out and meet new people, but Sophia tells her it’s not that easy. Blanche is running for Fashion Show Chairman of the Tinkerbells. Rose is her campaign manager. One day, Dorothy brings home a date. Sophia decides to join Dorothy and her new boyfriend Raymond on their date. Raymond humors Dorothy for a while. This continues for a number of weeks. Dorothy and Raymond go everywhere with Sophia and don’t get any time for just the two of them. Raymond has planned a trip for he and Dorothy, but Sophia is not invited to join them. Sophia overhears and assumes she is invited on the trip. Dorothy tells Raymond that she cannot go because she needs to take care of her mother. This brings he and Dorothy’s relationship to an end. Sophia tells her she’s decided not to go because she has made new friends and will be hanging out with them. Dorothy does not believe her until they come and pick her up. Dorothy no longer has to worry about her mother being lonely, but she has also lost her boyfriend as a result of being such a good daughter.
