Synopsis: Gracie gives her dolls group therapy. Maggie practices the piano…badly. Gracie plays with her imaginary friend, Imogene. Fran goes to Gracie’s therapist to pick her up. Grace still has her imaginary friend with her after the session. Back at the house Max and C.C. are horrified by some costume designs and C.C. goes off on the designer. Fran voices her concerns to Max about the imaginary friend. They discuss increasing and decreasing her therapy and it comes to light that C.C. recommended this therapist. In the kitchen Fran and Grace make cookies. They get Max to eat some raw dough. Fran eats a cookie but Grace starts to scream that she ate Imogene. She spits her out and they try to do CPR. Sadly, their efforts fail and Imogene dies. They give Grace some time to process it. Fran suggests a funeral for Imogene to give Grace closure. It’s the day of the mock funeral and Maggie plays badly at it. The funeral concludes and Fran’s favorite boots get buried as the coffin. The therapist finally returns Max’s call. She gives an emergency appointment for Grace. Fran’s worried that the doctor will blame her. She and Max have a spat in the waiting room. The shrink sees Fran and Max next. Fran goes on the defensive. The shrink compliments Fran. She explains that Imogene appeared after Grace’s mom died. Grace admits Imogene was getting on her nerves. But she says she doesn’t need Imogene anymore because now she has Fran. Later than night Fran is digging in the garden to get her pair of boots back.
