Summary:
Sophia and Dorothy are playing a game with each other and Sophia doesn’t take losing well. Rose is going to a fundraiser with one of Miles’ friends while he is in Europe. The girls are shocked but Miles has arranged it. Sophia reminds Dorothy what a date is. However, Dorothy is sneaking off on a date with Stan. Rose is having an issue with Ray’s ex-wife Myra. Dorothy returns and tells the girls how much fun she is having with Stan. The ladies are a bit horrified. Then they discuss how Dorothy feels about him. She’s not sure but thinks she loves him. How will she tell her mother? Then they leave to go toilet paper the Weston’s house. Myra keeps calling the house harassing Rose. Sophia steps in to help with the situation. Later, Dorothy admits to Sophia that she has been going out with Stan for a few months. Sophia starts working on Dorothy with guilt. Dorothy goes to dinner with Stan. He asks her to eat her potato. He’s hidden an engagement ring for her in it. It’s scalding hot and his proposal is lackluster. She accepts but they won’t tell Sophia. Myra is now stalking Rose and she is afraid. Dorothy gets back to the house and tells the girls she and Stan are getting married. They are a bit weirded out by the fact that he put the ring in a potato. Sophia walks in to find them all talking. Dorothy informs her of her engagement to Stan. Sophia reminds her what has happened before and does not want her to get hurt again. Rose hosts a bridal shower St. Olaf style for Dorothy. No one participates in the weird games. A cop arrives. They think he’s a stripper until the actual stripper shows up. Then they both dance. Sophia won’t participate. No one asked her permission. Dorothy and Stan set up a “meeting” for him to ask for permission. Sophia says no.
