Synopsis: Drilling of DMT, 10 feet south of H8, is beginning. A recap takes place of Dome and the cross. They call Zena to tell her about the cross they found. She’s very impressed. Zena tells them it could date back to 1200 BC, as that is when Zanit first came to be. Doug Crowell tells her that a carving was in Dome that matches this figure. She confirms that they were most likely praying to her as she was the protectress of ships and sailors. They go on to tell her about the bones and their origin. The team begins working on a section of the swamp. They are going to drain it. Jack leads a team on an old dump site. Gary starts metal detecting. He finds a hinge, it’s similar to hinges he’s found on other chests. As he continues to detect, he finds another hinge. The brothers head back to the swamp. They lay out plywood over the sludge, so they can walk around and scan and detect. Rick finds another wooden spike like Fred Nolan found, in the northern point of the swamp. Marty is surprised he’s not more excited. At the DMT shaft, the casing has already advanced 75 feet. The drilling hits a snag when hydraulic fluid starts pouring out. It could be another obstruction. While the drilling system is being repaired they try to do a chisel to break the obstruction. The drilling company thinks they have broken through, so they start back with the hammer grab again and start pulling stuff up. But not everything is coming up. While everything is at a standstill, Gary starts metal detecting the spoils. They discover a good number of teeth from the casing is in the spoils pile. The team calls Marty and delivers the news of the teeth. Two options are available for moving forward.
