Synopsis: Rick heads back to the island early. He learns that the road that goes back to the money pit has been almost completely washed out by the winter storms. They are forced to divert resources to rebuilding the road as quickly as possible. In just a week there will be heavy equipment being brought in for the money pit. From the war room they call Marty and update him. He is shocked. The money pit area is going to get a Geotech grid drill to try and narrow down its actual location. Marty is excited. The storm could have uncovered new clues to be found with a metal detector. Rick wants to put a camera down C-1. Rick asks how Craig is doing. His song Drake died recently from complications of a grand mal seizure. Reconstruction of the south shore road continues as Gary Drayton arrives to do some metal detecting. The pair is going to search at Issac’s Point. A remote camera is brought in to take a look at C-1. The camera goes down slowly. As it gets close to the bottom, clarity is quite good. They spot some items on the shaft floor that they think are looking at some different man made objects: a hook, some link chains and a few other items. Rick calls Marty. He wants to bring a diver in to go down C-1 again. At the metal detecting location they find a wood cutters ax head. A coin is also discovered. Now the GAL1 spoils get searched. Marty, Craig and Jack arrive. They are surprised to see Craig and Jack because of what happened to his son. The three get an update on what’s happened since their last chat. A company called Prohawk is brought in to enhance the video footage just taken in C-1. The enhancement software and the man who created it confirms these objects appear to be man made. The diver Mike Huntly arrives to do a dive. All precautions are there including an ambulance and a decompression chamber. The team watches the video feed as Mike is lowered down the shaft in a bosen’s chair. It actually kicks up all the silt which is what he was hoping not to do. He’s asked to metal detect the perimeter floor. He gets a hit with the metal detector. He’s trying to chisel it out of the wall. He collects samples from the floor. At this point he has been down 30 minutes. It’s just about double the amount of time he should have been down there. When they get him up he has to go in the decompression chamber for 71 minutes to try and prevent him from getting the bends. He does bring up the bag of samples, however, it winds up having nothing they saw in the video. A metal spike is found in the GAL1 spoils it’s actually a rose head nail. Everyone heads over to Dan’s to discuss the money pit. The metal detectors arrive with stuff to show them. Dan also thinks it’s a rose head spike. When he asks where the spike was found he’s told it was from GAL1. Dan rubs it in that they missed it. They all get together in the war room and discuss the finds to date. Future dives will now be single task dives so as to not cause him to stay down longer than is safe. They also address Drake’s passing as well. They do a tribute to him as well.
