Synopsis: We pick up where we left off. John Chatterton, the diver, has made it into the chamber below 10X. Marty and Craig are in attendance via video conference. They were grounded due to a hurricane. John finds a metal object sticking out of the floor. It is standing about six feet tall. It’s possibly a metal drill pipe casing. John says the bottom is clay. He shows them some debris. John continues exploring, looking for the body. He finds a depression where the body should be. It is a sinkhole. He also tells them there is moving water. So it’s coming from somewhere. John finds the tunnel and is in it. He describes it as rectangular and has clay and rock. The walls are crumbly and the top is irregular. Marty is impressed with John’s work. Once he’s topside there will be a full debriefing. Everyone is in the war room for the debriefing. John says the ceiling irregular. A six inch drill tube extends through the opening. A four inch pipe is sticking up from the bottom. But where is the wooden post(s)? They showed up on sonar and other things. John addresses the box, he found a stone though, not a box. He then speaks of the possible body, but that area did not have a body is functioned like a sinkhole. Marty asks is the cavern man made? John says that he believes it’s a natural formation. Rick does not want to cross off 10X yet, he still wants to drain it. Now they need to decide if they want to continue on 10X or work the money pit, where a large void was found. The next day the three McGinnis sisters, direct descendants of Daniel McGinnis. Daniel was one of the three boys who say the mysterious lights on the island and who found the money pit. Rick is treating them to a full tour with Charles Barkhouse. One sister asks about the oak tree, but gets informed it was cut down. Coming to the island brought all the stories they’ve heard their whole lives from fairy tales to reality. The sisters and the team meet in the war room. They’ve brought with them an artifact. It’s a beautiful wooden box. She tells them a story about her relative. He recognized the marks as that of a pulley system. She was told they found three treasure chests. Each of the three took a chest. She opens the box and it holds a gold cross. This was in the chest that Daniel took. The team is amazed. They asked how it was passed down. It’s passed through the men. Her brother passed it to her on his deathbed. She did take it to several jewelers and it could be as much as 500 years old. The question that is asked, are those three treasure chests are there was to find or were they a decoy? It’s a new day and today they work at the money pit, focusing on the 21 foot void. Rick hired a pipe inspection specialist to investigate the hole. He has a specialized camera for pipes. They lower the camera and once it hits water it becomes a bit sility. He keeps dropping the camera and they find the voide. There is a curved, shiny metallic object that appears to be embedded. It is gold colored. So how do you excavate the money pit? Will Marty and their partners agree to excavate? The team meets in the war room prior to leaving for the winter. Rick pushes for excavating the money pit. Jack wants an archaeological dig. Craig wants to clean the silt from 10X. Dave wants to pump 10X dry. They decide they will return again and continue the search.
