Synopsis: They discuss a stone that was the size of a boulder. It was found on the north shore. It had writing on it. The searchers at the time blew it up to dig below it. A few pieces were saved. The brothers don’t know a lot about the stones as there isn’t really documentation. Dan tells them the pieces saved were put into cement at the Oak Island museum. A triangle of stones is discussed and how it was destroyed by a previous treasure hunter. Rick decides to check out the museum to see if the stones are there. The museum is now on private property and defunct, however, the current property owner is allowing them to come and see the stones. If they can remove the stones without causing any damage to the property they will be allowed to take the stones. There are three stones in cement. They bring in the jackhammer to dislodge the stones from the cement. Once free the wash the stones and each has carvings in it. They load up the stones. Rick wants to find an expert to examine them. Several ways to excavate are discussed. Back at the money pit where they possibly hit the treasure vault they measure the game. It’s 7 feet of open space. They will send sonar down to get a 3D image. It appears to be just a wider shaft. Sadly, no clear image was possible. But they’ll continue to investigate. They bring in Terry Deveau again to check out the stones. He discovers that pieces fit together. There are letters “HEDDE and possibly an N or an R.” Jon O’Brien is brought to the island, to bring in his thoughts. He is an author and Oak Island experts. His background is in mining. He tells them about a strange rock that was carved with hieroglyphs. The analysis came back that they were from Central America. He believes that the tunnels were built by the Aztec Empire. His theroy is that Mayan’s came around 800 AD and brought with them the blue clay found on the island. He believes the south shore shaft was established to build all the shafts. So that when the Aztec’s arrived they already knew there was Mayan tunnels and they remodeled it and turned it all into traps. The 9 wooden levels could represent the 9 levels they had to go through to get to the afterlife. He leads them to the bottom-most stone of Nolan’s Cross. He discusses bedrock levels. The Aztecs, he believes, drilled into the side of the two islands to hide their treasure on both sides and then used there technologies to combine the two islands and hid the entrances with the swamp. He tells them where to dig based on his theories. 147 between the two east rocks. Marty is skeptical. There is a caveat. Where he believes the treasure to be is on Fred Nolan’s property. They will now see if they can get Fred Nolan on board. The feud between the Nolan’s and Blankship’s is discussed. They extend a working offer to Mr. Nolan.
