Summary:
Sophia asks Dorothy to taste something. Turns out it’s been recalled but Sophia thinks it’s fine. Rose joins them in the kitchen, but she looks weird. Her neck is messed up from stress. Blanche asks her what is causing the stress and she tells her it’s her job. She doesn’t want to let the consumers who depend on her down. They get distracted when the doorbell rings. Michael, Dorothy’s son, has come to visit. She’s surprised to see him as he was on tour with a band. He quit. He also informs them that he and his wife Lorraine have separated. Lorraine changed the locks and threw his clothes out too. Dorothy is very worried about Michael and his “free spirited”ness. Sophia points out her children are not perfect either. Rose is testing light bulbs to see which one lasts longer. And also watches to see if they are waterproof or not. Blanche tries to help her with her stress by teaching her to meditate. But during the lesson both light bulbs go out. Rose freaks out. Blanche tells her she needs to speak with Enrique because she cannot continue like this. Meanwhile, Dorothy is trying to find work for Michael. Sophia advises her to give him time to think. Sophia points out that Dorothy makes it easy for Michael to not grow up because she still does everything for him. Stanley arrives to spend some quality time with Michael. However, Michael asks Dorothy to loan him some money as he told Stan he’d treat, but now he’s broke. Blanche scolds Dorothy. Another day and Dorothy has had enough and kicks Michael out. Later, everyone is in the kitchen complaining about their life. Dorothy is worried about Michael. Sophia tells her he went to Stan’s. They discuss things that were hard for them to learn. Stanley arrives. He wants food and to talk to Dorothy. Stanley wants Dorothy to kick Michael out for him. Rose finally talks to Enrique. He will get her an assistant. Michael is forced to call the band he quit and get his job back.
