* Sheldon: It’s the right ingredients just in the wrong order.
* Raj: A time shared time machine, I’m in.
* Leonard: Come on guys, push.
Howard: If I push any harder I’m going to give birth to my colon.
* Penny: Oh please it’s not a time machine, if anything it looks like something Elton John would drive through the Everglades.
* Sheldon: Why’d you set it for the day before yesterday?
Leonard: Because I want to go back in time and stop myself from getting a time machine.
* Sheldon: Of course they are movies. Are you expecting me to come up with examples of a real-life time machine? That’s absurd.
* Penny: You are a great guy and it’s the things you love that make you who you are.
Synopsis: The guys are eating sandwiches at the apartment. Sheldon complains about his being improperly assembled. Leonard finds an auction for a time machine form a movie. He places a bid of $800 figuring he’ll be outbid by a large amount. However, no one else bids and he winds up winning it. It’s not a miniature like they thought, it’s a full size time machine. The question arises as to how to get it upstairs. Penny stumbles across them trying to haul the time machine up the stairs. She’s not amused. They finally get it up to the apartment. Sheldon gives a long speech about the synopsis of the movie it was in. They start fighting over where the time machine is to be stored. Leonard hops in it and selects a time for when Alexander Graham Bell invited the phone. They get in a fight about the physics of it all. Then it becomes a different date and they all pretend time is moving fast. Penny storms in quite upset. She had to use the roof and wound up in an apartment being force fed an 8 course meal. They also attempted to marry her to their son. By the time she got to work they gave her shift to someone else. She’s upset about losing a days’ pay. She calls them all completely pathetic, slams the door and storms out. Everyone is unphased except Leonard. That night, Sheldon comes out at 2 in the morning. Leonard wants to go back in time and not buy the time machine. He is worried that the time machine will prevent him from being with Penny. Sheldon gives him a list of examples of uses for time machines in movies. Leonard has a fantasy of being a superhero for Penny. It’s actually a dream as he fell asleep sitting in the time machine. The next day Leonard packs up all his comic book collectibles to sell to the comic book store. The guys come over and Leonard asks if they want to buy his share of the time machine. Howard is upset that he’s getting rid of all his stuff. He leaves the apartment to go to the comic store and they all try to stop him. Penny comes out to see what’s going on. Sheldon verbally attacks her what she said. She realizes she may have gone too far. She apologizes to Leonard and tells him she was upset. He gets a hug and kiss on the cheek. Then her date shows up. He keeps is stuff and they all go to the time machine. Sheldon has a time machine fantasy. He wakes up screaming and decides it has to go. Turns out that’s a dream too.
