The SD Association has announced its specs for next-gen memory cards at Mobile World Congress, and they’re truly jaw-dropping. Get ready for SD EX and SD UC, gadget geeks!

Let’s start with SD EX. The EX stands for Express, which may have clued you into what it’s all about: bringing the speed of PCI Express and NVM Express (NVMe) to the SD form factor.
