I know many people watch the TV show and don’t want anything to do with these books, but I love these books. I can only describe Rook and Heat’s interactions as what we’d really like to see on the TV show. But what I love most about this book is that it kept me interested from page one.
As always Rook winds up in the middle, no matter what he does. A gossip columnist is murdered. He shows up at the crime scene uninvited and Nikki is not happy. Explaining that he had interviewed doesn’t help.
While the mystery is unraveled it gets plenty of twists and turns with a Yankee’s pitcher, a pop star, and another death that appears to be an accidental overdose.
Who killed the gossip columnist? Is Rook a suspect?
