Synopsis: The guys are at the Cheesecake Factory and annoying Penny. He wants a hamburger and can’t decide. Leslie shows up. She needs a new cello player for the group and asks Leonard. Penny is impressed he plays an instrument. She asks him he’s going out with Leslie and Sheldon embarrasses him. Back at the apartment Leonard is upset that Penny thinks he and Leslie would make a cute couple. He over analyzes it. The band is practicing at Leonard’s. Leslie gives him a compliment and then makes a pass at him. After everyone leaves, Leslie bluntly makes a pass at him. He’s a bit speechless. She asks about Penny. He stutters a lot. They play a piece together rather interestingly. Later, Sheldon comes home and doesn’t understand something. He goes to Penny for help. She tells him Sheldon that Leonard has a girl in his room. He tells Penny how they normally coordinate. He picks up the violin case and determines is most likely Leslie Winkle. Penny is sitting on the couch as Sheldon reveals this. She says “good for Leonard” several times over. But she appears to be jealous and upset and bolts for the door. Sheldon then calls Leonard and tells him he say the tie, message received. Meanwhile the next morning, in Leonard’s room, he wakes up and is excited to find Leslie is still there. Sheldon also wakes up and sees the tie is still there. He’s more disturbed that someone altered his white board. He freaks out. Leonard points out it fixes the problem he’s been having. Leslie did it. Penny greets Leonard in a weird voice. He becomes suspicious. Penny starts asking questions. Leonard starts freaking out. He basically runs away. Leonard visits Leslie in her lab. He tries to be cozy and she’s not having it. She blows him off as a one-night stand. She pretty much blows him off. He’s a bit heartbroken. Leonard and Sheldon to go the Cheesecake Factory again for hamburgers. Penny comes over. Penny asks Leonard about Leslie and when he tells her it’s not going to happen, she consoles him a little. As she walks away, she pats his shoulder and runs her hand along his back as she walks away. She also has quite the smile on her face. Leonard is beyond confused. But Penny is clearly happy that he is not with someone else.
