Synopsis: The team works to secure the working platform on 10X. The first riser pipe they will remove is 8 inches in diameter. They will pull it up with a boom truck and then use a welder to cut it into sections. The first 20 foot section is a success. Jack brings up the satellite technology that showed tunnels and jewels, etc. He wants to test out some of the shallow possible treasure sites. Is there map and technology correct? Back at 10X the second section is locked in and being cut. However, the rest of the pipe was not properly secured and it plummets back down into 10X. Jack, Craig and Dan have detected a metal object that corresponds on the map. They find a split pipe. This spot was indicated to be ferrous metal. Jack thinks it validates their map. All meet in the war room. Jack informs Marty that they did find a metal at a spot that matches. Marty doesn’t believe in the map. They decide to pick another spot on the map and drill it to see if there is validity to that map. Rick wants to pump 10X dry so someone can actually go down it. Marty is no on board, he’s very worried. The Tester’s have headed to another spot on the map. It’s northwest of the swamp. The Leonard’s map says 140 feet below the surface is a cave or tunnel filled with gold. The drill gets to the depth, but they find water. They drill an extra 20 feet, but no cavity, just water. Today Rick has to drain some of the 10X bore hole to be able to access the pipes and pull them out. The pump is 40 horse power. This will allow them to lower the water level by 30 feet. They’ve found the pipe, however, another pipe is blocking it. Dave and Charles go down in the basket to remove the smaller pipe. As they hoist it out, something snaps and the hook flies wildly. The second try is a success. Dan stops by to check out their progress. Dave goes down to secure the last pipe and gets it done. As they examine the riser pipes they find the ninhydrine in several of them. Rick and Marty teleconference about the progress of the riser pipe project. Two pipes have been extracted.
